Patriot Guard Flag barrer's came for another visit today, this is the 3rd year we've done this here at my place. We were they're stop on the road to Witchita. While it is great fun, and great people, they're mission is the most important. I realize this may be off topic some, but hopefully the thread will stand in honor of all our troops, both fallen and in service.
I know a few of the Patriot Guard here in Geogia they are a grate set of folks. Thats cool, looks like a good time......
i usta ride PGR till i got too old to hold the bike up, miss it though I also used to ride the DC Freedom Ride for 3 times , lots of stuff out ther for old veterans to do
Looks like great fun Chris, it also looks like everyone had a good time. They ride for a great cause and I think it is very cool that you give them a place to stop and stretch their legs.
These guys get my respect... My Dad is a WWII veteran and just turned 88. The Patriot Guard ******ed him and other WWII vets when they went on their "Freedom Flight". I have a Patriots Guard pin that they gave to him and he gave it to me as a keepsake. Looking back on his experience, my Dad said that this was the 1st time that he ever really felt appreciation for what he had done. Thank you "Patriot Guard" and thank you, oldfart36, for the hospitallity that you extend to these folks!
Hell yeah Chris! Having worked with the Patriot Guard first hand as a funeral director, I have a lot of respect for these folks. Very cool of you to open your doors to them. Thanks!
Thanks guys. This being the 3rd year we've done this myself and some of the guys are talkin about a bigger get together next year. The hard part is keeping in line with the Witchita schedule.
Chris, That's a great way to support the Guard. Like what was said above, supporting Veterans, both with us and fallen, is NEVER off topic. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't even have the ability to have an open forum such as this. I've been a member of the patriot Guard for about 4 years now and can't say enough good about the organization and their mission. You are a generous man and a patriot. The world could use a few more like you, my friend.
