I do not think Bradley stamps his parts. I think they are bead rolled and brake bent, and other similar processes.

I bought floors from Bradley about ten years ago, I was told they are all hand made, no stamping, they also said it would be 6 to 8 months as I was in no hurry I bought them and got them in 4 months, guess I was just lucky. At the time he was the only one making original pans like Henry's. the quality is superb. good luck guys.

With Carpenter in full production I would think that parts wait on '40 stuff would be a thing of the past. My good friend Doug Klann who builds some fine high end cars just got a complete '40 body for a customer's build and I don't think it was a month wait to get it.

While I understand Bradley floorpans are superb for early Fords, I don't understand why so many Hot Rodders get so wrapped up, are inflexable and insist on waiting years for a floorpan to be chiseled out by Bradley rather than go another route. These are Hot Rods guys-not the Early Ford V-8 club meet being judged!

I fabbed and installed my own floor for my 34 and it looks and works just fine. And as low as my full fendered car sits, nobody will ever see the underside-or top side once it's covered with carpet!!!

I could understand geting worked up about a correctly stamped grille, etc. that was a highly visible panel, but to me the floorpan is basically like an inner deck lid skin. I really don't care if it has all the correct Henry dimples and other doo dads if it fits and functions. Nobody will ever see it. We get way too geeked out about some stuff that is for the restorer's to lose sleep over.

As for Bradley, he should produce his run of (25?) floorpan sets, THEN collect money from the buyers and ship out the product vs. holding their money for years until he gets enough orders to make it worth his while to make a production run.

You missed my point… you know it's going to take a year or two going into it, why are you complaining? I'm not arguing whether or not that is a reasonable amount of time to do the job. I ordered a set knowing it could take two years to see them. I'm not here *****ing…. I did my research and found other cars to restore while I wait.

  6. The guy sounds like an absolute ******, when someone else comes along with a quality product like this guy obviously makes his business will be history, seems like its time someone stepped up to the plate!! I for one don't put up with ******** excuses, you front up with the coin, your stuff gets shipped- Simple..

the picture on post #18 doesn't look to be totally authentic to me. the shape of the ribs that run up to the driveshaft tunnel look like they're fatter in the middle of "diamond" shaped, plus my bob drake (now dennis carpenter) floors have the ribs slightly going "up" into the tunnel wall. and there's a tunnel already in place! all the holes are punched too! I think at one time a person would have little choice but to use the paul bradly panels. but not any more. just get the one piece floors and be done with it. unless you just have minor problems to fix.

  10. So, who wants to post a blue print for the floor pans?
The textures, lumps, bumps, hips and dips don't seem hard to duplicate at all.
Just gotta get them in the right spot.

I have a set of 36s I will blueprint and even build a fibergl*** mold template if someone wants to step up to table and commit to manufacturing these. They are beautiful but I would have a hard time accepting a 2 year delivery.

Unfortunately Street rod pans are plentiful but he's the only game in town for most years other than 1940.

  13. Supply and demand,
Time and material (wages) vs what price the market will bear.
Quan***y production vs, one off or build to order.
I know two very high skilled sheet metal fabricators looking to supplement their income. There's no doubt in my mind we can pop a pan out in less than a month after hours. If there were 25 orders that would be a 2 year wait for the last guy, right?

What's a complete floor pan run from these suppliers?
Would anyone be willing to pay more in exchange for a reasonable waiting period?

I have a complete set of the Bradley "hot rod" style (no differential hole) pans that I got with my 33 3w "puzzle". This is a far into the future project for me...I wonder if I should sell these to someone that needs them now since I won't need them for realistically 2-3 years, maybe longer? Sounds like I might not be able I be able to get another set?

  17. Think about renting them out ?

  18. Those look like a one day job for someone who knows what he's doing.

  19. I'm pretty sure it takes more than a day to beat one of these complete out of some flat steel.
    26 months? No way

How about it thequietwon, want to rent your floor pans?

Do like I did, make your own floor pans. as long as the center "hump" is good, just measure and weld what needs to be replaced. Nobody is ever going to see the floors anyhow. I used to be meticulose and make the floors a thing of buety too, until I finally realized no body cares anyhow and just do a good job welding and use some seam sealer. why make it hard?? just do it!!!LOL:)

Ok for what it's worth. My good friend greg just bought a 34 ford.
He needs a front floor section for a model 40 coupe. He called and ordered a front section from Bradley on jan.22 2014 his card was charged, part plus shipping he just got the bill today,
he phoned Bradley left a message with secretary and she said Pau would call him after 4pm.
    No return phone call
    No part.
