Cry me a river...I've got two cents to add and it isn't going to a donation. His problems are not my problems, but if you want them to be yours, have at it.
Cold hard and uncaring as it sounds...I'm sure the good life of his was good while it lasted and most of us probably never experienced it any wheres close to his so good. Maybe he should have saved some of it like the rest of us poor slugs have to for the rainy day?

I can cast “shade” as they say on anyone who doesn’t help out, nor would I praise those who do help out.
Everyone has reasons they do and don’t do things.

Those “celebrity net worth “ things on the internet are completely made up. They have no more idea how much he is worth, than you or I.

If you follow Paul on his Facebook...it's pretty clear he isn't rolling in the dough. I don't think he made a ton of money for the movies he was in. One time he mentioned getting paid like 30 grand for staring in Puppet Master. (Cult classic horror movie if you don't know lol)

I don't know Lamat and he does seem to have some problems...But like all of us, if you can make adequate money then you need to get a different job ..And what was said about some of the very succesful actors from AG, maybe they should help one of their own...
Donating to him is a decent thing to do...But I bet their are people in your own town that are worse off...

**^^Another gem. What gives? Your quote 'truckedup' : "if you make adequate money then you need to get a different job'. K. Now grasp this, PL is ill, not a healthy 50 something dodging work & seeking a dole or gravy train.

An excerpt from his post that you have taken a little out of context, don't you think ???
@Truckedup also said the following, and I must say that I tend to agree..........

This whole thread will become divisive, and is probably not something we should be getting too far into.
I do, however, wish Paul all the best with what he is dealing with.

Like I said, cry me a river. He's special because he's a actor in a movie you liked but now down on his luck cause he lost it or pissed it away...Bad luck , poor planning who knows? But if I was wanting to charge 10 buck for signing my name you can bet your ass I be nice and smile doing it.
In poor health and soon to be homeless? How about you take him in and house him? Send him more because of pricks like me who don't?
No sunshine here. Just a guy who doesn't idolize a movie or worship and actor. Ignore all you want.
Not awesome, just a perspective. I have others. Another being that yea, sucks to be me. Maybe I should start a go fund me page for that? As far as friends go, if that's your goal to have the largest funeral, gather them while your still alive and thank them for coming.

  13. We are confronted every day with someone who has fallen on hard times, it doesn't matter if they are celebrities or a neighbor you see on a regular basis, some times it's your health or a unforeseen expense you don't have any control over and don't know where to turn.

I have witnessed friends on the Hamb face hardships that have been devastating and along with many of you guys I stepped up and tried to help, what it comes down to we all have a conscious and we have to live with it, It doesn't matter if it's Paul LeMat or someone you know personally, if you feel like you can help someone that needs a financial helping hand, do so, if not or your not in position to make a donation you might offer your prayers of support. My goal isnt as self absorbed as to care how many people attend my funeral. I also know you cant take any of it with you and all that really adds up to anything is our impact on others and the ripples those actions create. Help him or dont, no big deal i spose, its also no big deal to help him and as a primary cast member in a film ive watched 60+ times that largely impacted me, who was paid pennies to do it amd who has numerous times taken the time to talk to me and interact with me for no reason besides kindness, i have zero reservations about helping him out

A mistake on my part...I meant to say "inadequate money". No one has implied he is scamming....

Well, I wish him all the best. Times are rough, sometimes ya just gotta give a helping hand. I remember when I dropped my windsor bottle on the sidewalk and my buddy said "Here, I'll buy us another one." Off to the store he went. Never saw him for two days.:)

Unless you are talking about grounds on a car then negative definitely won out.

What has the 'company' made off the film since then? Everything from tickets to rental to sales (DVD) & collector items? Yep.
