Its a slow process, but we are building his resume.
What did he get up to between 1972 and 2020 besides his time in the Service...
I thought the Actors Guild looked after their own.
    Do Vets get free medical???

    Lets stop pussy footing around.
We are all generous people when it comes to the right cause.
I dont want to be helping people who have never helped themselves.
If somebody has ticked all the boxes and falls on hard times off course we want to help.
However, if they have pissed it up against the wall and shot it up their arm, then count me out...

Free medical is veterans is available if the person has a service connected issue...There's a system for cost based on type and length of service and other factors like lack of money.....California supposedly has a good Medicaid sytem those with no money and if over 65 there's Medicare that covers a lot but not all medical costs..

I'm not gonna help anybody who ever made any mistakes.

    Wait... I just remembered...
    I made mistakes.
    Some people still helped me.

3600$ in 1972 equals 24900$ in todays money.

He's a Father of three......That should mean something

  12. When I see any of the people who were in American Graffiti, I always got some signed pictures. Think I have about 12. I remember when he signed the dash of my son's Shoebox, at the Primer Nats, years ago. Hope it's still on the dash of that car. He was really cool. I asked him all kinds of questions about the movie. He looked pretty healthy back then. Last time I saw him, he was looking pretty bad. Made me feel sad that another guy who I really liked is getting older and frail.

Saw him and the others here at a local show some years ago. Got signed photos from them as well. He didn't look too healthy that time either but was cordial. It appeared he had maybe a "handler" type with him. They were all there are- we were told they got $1500 each for appearing!! Thought that was peanuts.

  14. Boy, just think if you'd invested in 140 Pintos! Today you'd have... um....er....uh..... enough exploding gas tanks to put on a hell of a fireworks display, with 140 4 cylinder engines left over to upgrade Model A's !
But when you think about it..... If he got $3,600 for playing the part (chump change back then, but it WAS a low budget movie), and only another $66,400 in the intervening 50 years ($1,328 per year, or $110 per month), he made mere peanuts from one of the most famous movies of the decade. A sad example of Hollywood pay hierarchy.

    6. American Graffiti (1973)
    Budget: $777k
    Box Office: $140 million

American graffiti is a classic coming of age drama film directed by George Lucas (Star wars). It was critically acclaimed and got nomination in Oscars for best picture. American graffiti is undoubtedly one of the most profitable movies of all time with generating 180 times of its production budget on the box office alone, plus $200 million through home videos. Source: https://www.wonderslist.com/10-profitable-movies-ever-made/ bet George Lucas or those Hellywood fat cats share anything from that haul............nope.

As is becoming increasingly clear there is a portion of our society that is sick enough to attempt revenge by causing harm to another human being. I hope that Paul is able to recover his life again. Prayers.

You can't draw any conclusions from a four minute video...Many actors are unusual characters and can blur the the difference between acting and reality ....

  24. If you go to his Youtube channel he has a couple dozen videos. Reminds me a bit of a retired friend with PTSD from his time in Nam AND Desert Storm

As mentioned earlier, he has multiple children. If they aren’t stepping up to take care of him…I guess I should?o_O

I personally donated to the San Diego Highway man and I donated to that kid that got the free car and never followed through with the build. I will not be donating to anyone who didn’t plan properly for their own retirement. And for those that plan to donate, I would encourage you to simply flush a $20 bill down the toilet. There is a guy, or gal, working at the municipal waste treatment plant and when the waste water first enters the plant there’s a large wheel-like rotating screen that grabs all things that haven’t dissolved. The workers typically pull these items off the wheel. Things like happy meal toys, condoms, car keys and the extraordinarily rare American dollar. That dedicated, laboring worker is far more deserving than any Hollywood dipshit.
