I have an old northeast oval modified with straight front axle, used to dirt , got no idea ,want kind of a setup to put under the car to run asphalt in florida on 1/4 and 3/8ths circle tracks . Here's the starting point 30's coupe , 12 " rubber all the way around . The axle has 5 degrees camber in right front . How much toe out , weight is 2250 with driver . Sq. the ch***is or lead , shock travel ? If a hamber knows,I will call you. l can scale the car with the offsets you tell me. Wanna race next month with a starting point . Dave
Every track is different, even paved. Contact a local speed shop that suports some of the local racers and ask about a basic set up. Stagger, lead, wedge, even brake bias can make a big difference, even on an 1/4 mile track. Most of all have FUN and try not to smile too much.
