I say they put red clay on it and race the dirt late models on it. It was awesome when they did Bristol that way back several years ago. I believe it was the late 90's. That is some real racing right there.

Well it’s good to see paving doing by these huge machines. It made paving a little bit easier.

Not sure what year they repaved the track but I was there in 2008.

For Christmas my children gave me a present and that was going to the Richard Petty driving school.

The instructor told all of us that as long as you can maintain a four car length distance behind him he would keep going faster each lap.

Well since there would only be 7 laps to do this in on my 5 lap I was at 147 mph but then on my 6 lap all of a sudden my 4 car length distance coming off turn 2 when down to about 2 car lengths.

I thought at that point the instructor had a problem so I went around him and that was the end of my Richard Petty Driving Experience.

The instructor later told me that on the 6 lap I would have been over 150 mph so they told him to slow me down.

With the sun glare coming off turn 2 at about 11:AM in the morning I never saw him waving at me to slow down.

It was a wonderful experience for anyone who loves racing!!!!!!!!!
