Hi all.P.A.W ditched their catalouge about 5 or 6 years ago.CRAP.Ordered from them several times. Was always very happy with parts and service. Good luck.Have fun.Be safe. Leo
Their counter service was pretty good. I lived in Echo Park and Pasadena, and bought a few parts from them over the years, though a set of rods from them were so different in weight Johnson Machine in Monrovia couldn't balance 'em. It was not an easy issue to resolve and left a bad taste. I remember they had a rolling cart for picking parts from the bins with a sign on it that said, "Little Burro". The catalog was a whopper but great for reference. Too bad they're gone because they made a lot of cars go fast on a budget.
PAW makes me nostalgic. It reminds me of a time when I was too young to drive but loved that phone book. I lived 20 minutes from the San Fernando valley and I used to love driving with my neighbor to get parts for his nova. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Yeah I use to buy parts from Mario at the thousand oaks store. You could really knock some one out with one of their catalogs. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
I bought a lot of VHT engine enamel and solid lifter Crower oval track cams (great bracket cams) from PAW. They always had the best prices on both items.
PAW jacked me around a few years ago. I ordered an intake, carb and headers. Stuff never came and never came and the truck was ready to go out. Finally after a couple months I cancelled the order and it took another couple months of hounding the crap out of them to get my refund.
Remember the dude with the pony tail? Ended up working at a shop with that dude Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
1320 Gasser is right, it was Crane. They were right in our backyard in Daytona, Florida. I asked a guy who worked there if they made them for PAW and he said yes, and that they simply pulled regular Crane cams off of the manufacturing line and put them in plain white PAW boxes. But they had Crane timing cards inside. The price was ridiculously low.........I think a cam was $ 49.95 and if you also got lifters it was $ 89.95. I bought probably 3 or 4 of them over the years and they were really good cams for the money. Don
Ordered a rebuild kit for my 283 for $383. Still have the catalog. Who do I go to for the next kit? Larry
I have dealt with them from their first small shop down the row from a machine shop i used to work at. I had one of their paper catalogs that was about 100 pages...had two boxes of them from over the years i threw away when i moved last month. Don't know how many thousands of dollars i spent with them, but it was a bunch!
