I bought this for a friend in Sweden http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=780881 It's on a ship now, this is a slow process sometimes. Seller thought I was a scammer but after a few back & forths he agreed to a wire transfer. I've sent lots of cars to Sweden through these shippers ARIZONA CL***IC 7040 W Augusta Ave Glendale, Arizona 85303 Verkstad: 001 623/ 842 6100 Fax: 001 623/ 842 6117 and California Shipping Attention Ingegerd 11121 Dale St Stanton CA 90680 714-590-1999 I trust both of them to do what they say they will. Both are run by Swedes. They will arrange pick up and know what paperwork is required. I pay for the cars and all the parts needed if anything and my buddy in Sweden wires the money later. First time I was pretty nervous, that was many cars ago. Banks can give you an account number for transfers, you don't need to use your own if you don't want to. Money takes a few days to appear if it's coming, disappears instantaneously when it goes. Somebody makes a few days % and it ain't you, surprise surprise. Fee for me here in New Mexico is about $70 for overseas, less for domestic. Incoming fee is about $20 I think. None of this help you in AU, but the system willl be the same. Joe H
we sell LOTS of cars to overseas buyers. Especially to Australia. In fact, I just loaded a 39 LaSalle convertible going to Melbourne today. I find the transactions are usually very, very smooth. Wire transfer of funds is the only way to go. Making new friends is the best part. Foreign buyers are very appreciative. best wishes!
