    I have this tool for GM keys along with the code booklet.

  2. How well I remember those. There used to be a gauge to read key cut depths but the "good" parts and service techs could read cut depths without that tool. That and coding blank lock cylinders was one of the first things I was taught when I got into parts in 1970.
