if someone sends me a payment for an item I have listed here and they send it friends and family, does PayPal email me a notification saying I received money? The money has been sitting in my account for a couple days and here I'm waiting for an email from PayPal letting me know the person sent it. I feel so bad
I always get one when the money was for a goods or service, never got one this time, it's packed up and ready to go, i had it with me at work with another item I sold, got an email saying I got payed for the item but not both. Oh well, I know to watch for it next time
It may have went into your spam folder, check there but if it's in your account, you have the money. Send the item and spend the money. They will need to provide you the address.
Yeah, there was no address attached, I asked for it. I think from now on, I'll ask anyone sending me money to reply on the hamb that they sent it, just in case this happens again.
99% of the time I get an e-mail notification whether it's to a friend or not. Most of the time it's right behind the money.. I print a copy of the transaction and try to put the buyer or sellers name, address, e-mail and phone number on the print out before I put in the e-mail file. I also transfer the money from Pay Pal to my business account about once a week. I keep a minimal amount in the PP. account. Rarely more than a thousand.
Most of the time I receive a notice from Pay Pal but not all the time. I always have to look up my account to see if payment was made. Vic
If someone doesn’t have your email address written exactly the same as your PayPal address you are receiving the money and/or does not have the name associated with that specific PayPal email address then the payment they send cannot be claimed. On all PayPal payments - if you are the Seller - send a written notice to your Buyer with the name and email address to send payment to - then before they send the payment - request written confirmation of where they are sending payment to. If they are off by one letter or number or character - the money will not post to your account. They will receive notice it is “ unclaimed “ and probably think you just haven’t collected it. I learned this firsthand recently when I sold a high dollar item and the Seller used PayPal. It took (3) attempts over the course of a week to get things sorted out so the money went to the correct PayPal account. Jim
PayPal doesn't like me anymore. Now I have to verify who I am on a mobile phone and I don't have one so I have some money in limbo somewhere.
That isn't just paypal. Some Anti Virus systems like Avast have it set so your computer doesn't show the same info every time. I have to get the code if I get signed out of my Yahoo Email acct. Have to do it with most of the credit cards. you can usually click the send email tab and get an email with the code.
Just send an invoice through PayPal. Way easier and you won't run into any "sent to the wrong account" nonsense. This is a two-factor authentication to help prevent your account from being hacked. You can turn it off; it's in the security settings once you log into the PayPal website.
