Anyone going? The 2009 Pebble Beach Concours dElegance features the marques of Bentley and Bugatti, and it celebrates the centennials of Audi and Morgan and the style of Zagato. There will also be some very special Ferrari and Packard classes. New class British Motorcycles through 1959 Including the Rollie Free Vincent... http://www.pebblebeachconcours.net/
I was invited to a Show south of Selinas at El Toro park leaving Phoenix on Thursday morning the show is on Saturday. I would like to see this one but do we need to wear tuxedo LOL how much for spectator entry. Thanks!!! Frenchy
The show is Sunday, no Tux needed...despite what people think, the majority of people there are car guys...just a little better off financially Entry I believe is $150 and worth every penny
Would love to but I think I am spent as far as trips go this year. I would like to attend next year though if I can.
I'll keep an eye out...I'll have my club jacket on if last year is anything to go by...it was bloody cold!
$150.00... $175.00 day of the show? I'd rather go and spend 1/2 that at the Kit Kat Club in Sunnyvale. 20 bucks to get in and worth every penny. just too bad we can't take pictures.
If you haven't been, then you don't know. It is worth $150. The stuff you will see there would cost tens of thousands to drive and fly to each museum that owns the car, not to mention the privately owned stuff. I've gone 3 times now and loved it everytime. esepcially watching them come down the hill in Carmel towards the beach parking lot. The stuff that shows up is incredible. There's no way I would have ever seen all the unique and historical cars that I have without going to this show.
You don't know what your missing.... Saturday 2008 Sunday 2008 2007 And I got to sit in a FUTURLINER last year....
I'll be there. Pebble beach is worth the $ to get in. Its the Super Bowl, The Indy 500 and the Lower Oakland Roller Derby Finals all rolled up into one. Concours d'LeMons on Sat. will be worth it as well. We've got quote a line up of crappy cars and lots of fun to be had. Dont forget the auctions and the Historics.
I know what I'm missing. saw all your pics when you posted last year . though with the $8.00 beers, I may spend $150.00 at Goodguys in 2 weeks
I went 2 years ago and can't wait to go back...worth every penny...unfortunately my money tree died, so not this year. We just had Meadowbrook here in the Motor City and they also had a British Motorcycle class. Very interesting and many bikes that I had only seen in photo's and some I've never heard of. Wonder if the Brough SS100 that was at Meadowbrook will be at Pebble. Looking foreword to the photo coverage.
I'm gonna try to get there Thursday for lunch in Carmel. Saturday/Sunday/NoWay. I'm working this weekend as usual.
I've said this before, but for the new HAMB members your Pebble Beach coverage and photos are THE BEST I've ever seen. This year should have some truely great cars. If you can shoot every Bugatti that would be great. Pebble Beach is on my top six bucket list events, sure hope to get there before its over.
Awww shucks....thanks man....I'm going red now... Bugatti's huh? I may find a moment to photograph one or two in between all the British bikes!
you need a nother one fur yer stable of rides ,nothin' cooler then seeing a bunch of caddys wastin gas .....haha
Talking of which.... Hwy 101 south today around 11.15am (and almost 90mph) I mean 65.... Its all about driving em
And off...in the distance I spied a gold & green & orange glow...I accelerated to catch up...and assembled my SLR on the fly...when I got closer..I thought...I know that car...and sure enough, it was Scotty...grin a mile wide
