Pendine Sands is a GREAT event. I'm in the UK for a vacation and visiting a hot rod buddy. We went to Pendine for the weekend. I'm glad I went. The Brits are every bit the hot rodders as the Yanks. Here are a few pictures I took.

 

Queen of the sand Heidi Farrant in husband Matt's 29 RPU about to storm the beach with a 119mph run. Beating Matt's record from last year and 2nd fastest overall!

 

Such a shame she didn't get FTD and the record, especially given it was her first attempt at running on the sand. Loved the fact that she looked properly petrified before her first ever run, then blitzted the track with a 99.something run

In the photo she looks focused. The look says "I'm gonna' kill this"!

 

Yep, look above was as a result of that first confidence inspiring first run the day before.
Astonishing performance....hats well and truly doffed to the lady - such a shame she didn't get that ftd.
