You have a point, but I don't think that you're looking at the big picture. We chatter endlessly about how to modify our cars to make them look better and go faster. The question that comes to my mind is: Where do we look for our inspiration? How does this length hood work with that type of body? What's the most pleasing ratio of window height to body height? And so forth... I think that we should be broad-minded enough to recognize the accomplishments of generations of stylists who had real talent and were able to capture those "right proportions", no matter what brand of car was in question.

    Just my 2 cents...

I was looking for this pic of this car on my computer because this car is what I consider to be perfect proportions for a rod. I can't remember who's it is, but I snapped this pic of it at the drags a couple years back. I took the liberty to steal it from another thread and throw it on here, this car is unreal perfect. It's been posted on the Survivor thread but I think it was actually a recent build...anybody know for sure. Either way it's un rivaled IMO.

That is the "Jive Five" belonging to Mark Morton of Hop Up Magazine. That car is well traveled, and has history...

  6. I'll probably have to check rikster to get a better photo of the rear fenders on this one. appears to have raised rear fenders and bobbed rear deck. or is that an illusion

  8. Dave I have an open mind and a love affair with anything on wheels. but this board (I not a HAMB COP) has a specific venue and there is so much that hasn't been done and much that has been done wrong. I think this is a very positive thread if we focus on our type of build.

Damn I love that car! I guess I was wrong but I was thinking that I had heard that it was a recent build. Glad to hear it's not and that it has real history to it.
