Running a mild built 350. I didnt build the motor but it seems to have mild but nice rough idle cam and Im guessing around 9 to 1 compression. Pulling off the stock steel intake and the dual line Holley thats on it now. Need opinions. Intake Choice: Edlebrock Performer or RPM Air Gap Carb Choice: Edelbrock Performer Series or Quick Fuel Slayer Series Thanks
I can't speak about the quick fuel other than I did look into them but they seem pricey and didn't have the cfm carb I was looking for. I have a mild 327 in my sedan and run an air gap with a 1403 (500cfm) Edelbrock on top with no complaints, It runs quite well.
i have the air gap with the edelbrock 650 on my 302. i did have to change to a manual choke model as the electric choke wouldnt work right with the air gap. i had to call edelbrock to figure that out.
Your gonna see alot more Edelbrock recommendations on here than the Quick Fuel, even though its vastly superior.
I ran a factory aluminum hi-rise (Z28) with a Holley 780 with vacuum secondaries. The motor was a 327 with a Sig Erson Hi-Flo I cam. With a 4 speed and 4:56's gears, it worked quite well. (see Avatar).
