Will this pass the test? Just found this, I have been looking for a decent Pre AMF Sportster; I had one as my first Harley, and after decades of Panheads and Knuckleheads and some other junk, it was time for another. The last bike I buy or build.
I really like the old bikes. I was looking at a 1964 Sportster that was reasonable at auction recently although I don’t need another bike. Well, other than maybe a 54 pan I have also been meaning to go check out. Congrats!
I always loved “Sportsters”. I recently sold my ‘75 XLH because balance issues wouldn’t let me safely ride it anymore…
My '04 1200 C. Wife gave it to me for 60th birthday in 2010. It has a Stage III kit in it. I also have a '70 Triumph Bonneville I bought for myself when I got out of the Navy, now it needs going through. It has an 805 kit with Mikuni carbs. I told her I was going to restore it for my 60th, she said "shit, at your rate you'll be dead before you finish it".
