Period Tool Kit

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Ryan, Oct 11, 2007.

  1. I always try to carry some tools along. That way if I can't fix it maybe I can loan the tools to someone more mechanically talented and they can fix it.

I have a smaller doctor's bag, just big enough for a few essentials and takes up very little space, something there isn't much of in a little hot rod

Thanks HOTRODPRIMER & Mr48chev for the nice compliments. Inherited three of those Craftsman boxes when my step Dad passed. Picked the rattiest one to mod. Wanted the leather straps because I've always liked the early European sports cars. Went to a tanner to make the belts, he was a bit spendy. The lovely Mrs. 99 suggested the thrift store. Took about 10 minutes of searching the "tub O belts" to find two that matched.

Paul there sure isn't a lot of room. I keep tools a fire extinguisher and spares in the bag so they don't float around.
