Need some advice, putting in a pertronix unit again in the T and didn't buy the Pertronix brand plug wires this time. I believe that I can use regular 7.0MM or 8.0mm wires. Your thoughts?
BTW its a small block Chevy motor with a Ignitor II unit and flame thrower coil.

i used 7mm wires with my pertronix/flame thrower combo with no problems. i recently changed to 8mm however... if it doesn't miss, then you're ok.

  4. I'm using stock replacement wires, 7mm, supression core, nothing special, bought at the local parts store for $30 or so. No problems. I did the same for my Dad's '60 Buick, it ran well for the 5 years he had it after the Pertronix went in. Inexpensive wires will do just fine.

Depends on which Pertronix unit. I have a solid core wores running on Pertronix I, but the II and III call for non-solid core wires.
