Got a Pert out of the car I need to test. Red wire to bat +, Black wire to volt meter, meter to bat+, mounting bracket to bat -. If I run the magnetic sleeve past the module the voltage should go from 12 to 0. Correct?

Only Pertronix distributor I had was for a FE390 and I can tell you it had no provisions for the stock points setup.
