    Got a Pert out of the car I need to test. Red wire to bat +, Black wire to volt meter, meter to bat+, mounting bracket to bat -. If I run the magnetic sleeve past the module the voltage should go from 12 to 0.

    Correct?

    Who on here troubleshoots, there is some of the craziest advice from the computer commandos I have ever heard. There is a thread on HEI missing and people are recommending to move the plug wires, move the dist. a notch. WOW !

    Never heard of such a thing. I did a google search to find out what they are, didn't come up with anything. So what's a solid state condenser?

  4. Only Pertronix distributor I had was for a FE390 and I can tell you it had no provisions for the stock points setup.

    GM first offered an electronic ignition option on the 63 Pontiac, then in 64 on the Vette....was it used on period hot rods, probably not...
