Pertronix has a distributor look up data base. If you have the number from your distributor, it will give you the kit number. Great company, nice made in the USA products and the guy they use for their on hold voice is no other than the Official Voice Of The NHRA, Brian Lohnes.

You have to put the rotor or simply put the electronic kit without a rotor ? Do you have a pic of installation ? Thank you !!!

Pertronix kits always use the stock rotor. Kits simply eliminate the points, not the cap or rotor.

You don't "need" any model of Pertronix, just clean and adjust the points, and maybe put in a new condenser, and drive it.

In 1954, Fords (at least in the USA) came from the factory with 6 volt electrical systems. Thus, using the Pertronix guide will give you a 6 volt unit. It sounds like your car has been converted to 12 volts, so that won't work. Ford went to 12 volt systems in 1956, which might be a better choice. Maybe you should talk directly to them about this.

After all of this, make sure your points system has quality parts and in good shape. Then forget about it.
