its probably been said but calling every old hotrod that doesn't have paint yet a ratrod. Get fuckin bent buddy.
My pet peeve is when someone asks for advice and someone else replies with YOU and YOUR car in their reply. Yea he knows it is his car and you don't need to shout it, the guy is just asking for advice and opinions.
Worse: the attitude that crops up here from time to time that Traditional Hot Rodding means only reassembling stock early Ford parts in different ways: no fabrication, no creative problem-solving, no speed parts — not, presumably, even period ones.
Failure to reply to PM's. I've sent PM's with possible leads to members looking for a particular part and never get a response. Luckily this is pretty rare but it still pisses me off after taking the time to provide info and then hear nothing. Not even a FU very much.
Thanks for clearing that up . Seriously though, I see the Roberts is actually square so I misunderstood what was said previously. My mistake. On the plus side, I finally found out the name for those stupid bolts that Chevy used with the two half moons...and ordered me some drivers to fit them.......of course I already destroyed half of them already. Probably use a Torx head to replace them if I can find some with the right head shape. Amazon has some that fit on a ratchet pretty cheap. Personally, I like torx head bolts whenever I can find them. Gives the period correctness guys something to smirk about.
When i use the word “Classic” it’s more the general meaning of the word. I an in no way associated with AACA and I don’t really care how they define it.
You seem to lack the ability to differentiate between constructive criticism & belittling . Simply informing that someone used the wrong word &/ or spelled the sword incorrectly is hardly belittling , especially when doing so makes their statement understandable to those who read it .Of course , it your looking to be belittled , by all means , carry on .
Not at all. The definition of motor is a machine that provides motive power, either through combustion or electricity. Electric motors on the other hand are just motors... Internal or external combustion doesn't matter. Steam engines are external combustion, jet engines are inline combustion, but the turbines in nuclear power plants are just steam turbines.
Stealing the line from Monty Python's " John Cleese " " And now for something completely different " The pictures illustrate, what the difference is ! And just to throw a bit more salt into the wound, I detest these type of tool boxes, that the drawers always get jammed up when closing them !
