Here are some pix of the "Pete & Jakes" open house this past weekend. Henry and I were there for about an hour hanging out and checking out the 'hot rahs' & 'cuss-ums" as he calls.
Everyone can also check out my coverage of the show: http://www.artdirectorandhotrodder.com/pete-and-jakes-hot-rod-shop-open-house/ About 38 pictures. Thanks -Quentin
Well I'm trying to upload the pictures and it's saying something about a 'security token'. I will try to upload them from my "Jalopy payphone".
I think that I saw you guys out there. I took a handful of pictures out there but haven't posted them, except on FB, for my "non car friends" to see.
That's it. Sorry that some little punk kid was getting it the way of the shots....Little HJ was trying to take pictures before me...crazy kid. Sent from my iPhone using TJJ.
Any info on the Eastwood/Barakat clone? Interesting, but kinda 'untimely'... (is the real one finished yet? Thought this was it at first glance)
my filthy flathead made the pictures! Do you mind if I put additional pic's in your thread? I don't want to hijack, but I also don't see the need for a ton of different threads for the same event.
Anna for taking us there. I was bummed about having to work the day job, had a great time there last year.
Looks like a great time! There is one hek of a lot of history residing in that shop. Wish I could have been there... thanks for sharing
In an effort to try and not duplicate too many pic's...here's my shots. (and the gratuitous self-promotion pic's, too) First pic is loaded up and heading out of Springfield, MO, at 6:15am. Last pic was the ride home, hitting some rain in Collins, MO. Not for certain, but I believe that the '34 sedan may be the same one I took some pictures of back in the late '70's, over at a Roarin' 30's rod run, in St Charles. Sure did look familiar.
Ok...dug through my "picture box" and found 3 pictures of the '34 sedan, taken back in either the late 70's or early 80's. Had a set of chrome Tru-Spokes and a spare tire hanging off the back with a big 34 embroidered into the cover. I knew it looked familiar when I first saw it!
My son and I had a great time, I have known Jerry and Peggy for over thirty years. Very nice to do business with.
