Busy week. Early Monday Dennis Saum and I headed to Pete & Jakes's in Peculiar Mo to check on a chassis I'm having built. (Remember I Retired) Met Jason and went to the chassis shop. I had speced a lot of things that deviated from their normal chassis and WOW they are doing a fantastic job. Also met a really kool guy Jack Dean who runs J&M Custom Exhaust which is near P&J's. He's going to do a complete front to rear SS exhaust system for this chassis. First chassis I've ever had anyone else do for me. It's all for a yellow FF 32 roadster replicating one I built about 1980. This is probably my last build so I'm spoiling myself. Great trip while it was only a 600 mile day it was good to share the trip with a fellow deuce owner, lots of hot rod conversation. We shared lunch with Howard Farwell another die hard deuce guy. Finally yesterday I rolled out the daily driver deuce pickup out for the first time since Christmas day. Almost all the salt has blown off the roads, time to let it roll. Life is good.
I bet it’s tuff to have them do a chassis for you when you put out one of the best chassis out there. Sounds like you are happy so that’s a good thing.
Gary, glad to hear you and Dennis, @383deuce , had a little road trip together. I'm looking forward to seeing this sedan come together.
Cool. Boy howdy that has to be a bit of pressure when the boss tells you that a guy with the reputation as one of the best 32 Ford Chassis builders in the country just ordered a chassis with a list of details and you are going to build it.
