    sad news indeed.
the man had a big roll in the resurgence of the traditional hot rod movement,
    his work is that good.

Peter certainly had a unique style and approach to his work. He made a lot of lifelong friends, builders of raw bone hotrods, and key in resurgence of the vehicles we love. RIP Peter.

  11. So sorry to hear this. I've known Peter for many years, he shot several of my cars for magazines, calendars and his great books. I'll miss him and so will the traditional hot rod world.

That’s sad to hear. RIP Peter.
He photographed our roadster pickup on the salt flats 20 years ago for one of his books. It was fun watching him work and choosing the best time of the day for the lighting.

Picture taken by @John Starr from another thread. Peter Vincent and Pat Ganahl. Seems appropriate here.

It certainly does Alan, with the addition of Albert Drake, we are now without 3 of the best in the business, gone in the last 10 months.

A very talented photographer. His images were very evocative of the traditional hot rod.

I wish I had time to speak to him that day, but I felt like I was intruding, so I made myself scarce after drooling all over his prize coupe. I'm sad to hear of his passing.

  23. I first met Peter at Bonneville in 1990:

At Speed Week ‘92, he shot this photo of the #333 Roadster near the starting line:

NOTE: That's me standing on roof of the "Nerd Mobile" push wagon . . .
I asked Peter if he wanted me to get down . . . he said "no no no stay right there" :)

    RIP Peter :(

It's hard to understand -- the friends you have met time and again and admired and laughed with over the years. Pat and Peter. So young.
