Event Coverage PF goes to Hutchinson, KS swap meet --2011--

So, I was minding my own business early this morning when the phone rang. It was my favorite brother in law Lawrence. "you wanna ride with me to the Hutch Swap meet?" -- and my answer--"yes, come and get me".
We arrived kinda late about 9 am and the crowd was small and maybe the number of vendors was down as well. So we may have missed some cool things that were bought before we got there. Anyway, we have both spent alot of money lately and mostly just went to spend the morning with friends and look around. As always we had alot of fun. I took photos, we each bought a few small items, ate a quickie lunch and were home by 1PM. That's what I call a good day----

drag racer and Hamber "T Squared" (Tom) was there and had some cool stuff. I bought an old g***er pedal from him.

 

My trusty sidekick "Cuzzindeke" was there selling some stuff too.

not a big spender today.....this is what I bought plus a late model spare tire and rim

 

I really wanted this sign but it was already sold for $40 before I got there----

I have to wait till Wichita in Feb. for next swap meet.

I really don't want the car events to end but the time changes next weekend and it will be a long dark winter-----bummer

Paul claims to be a friend and all I ask him to pick up for me was a 37 Hudson steering box, a 32 commercial shell, two finned blue streak coils and a set of Weiand 409 valve covers.

On the phone he acted like those parts would be hard to find!

I've got to get up there one of these days. I keep thinking when I get the house and garage all squared away I'll have more time. Then I think when I see threads like this "why didn't I go?" All I ended up doing was mowing. It looks like you had fun, cool stuff you scored.

What do you expect, when you look as good as I do, people go out of their way to help.
