I saw an episode of The Andy Griffith Show where Goober buys the gas station from Wally and then he hires a pump jockey played by Bo Hopkins. However I didn't see a chopped Merc in the show.

"Goober" should have changed his name to "Loogie", it has a much more of an high-brow sound to it.

I like the black and white shows better....ha ha

  7. Best show in the history of the planet. Did he have any influence on Opie??

  8. I'm thinkin this 'ol boy was 'takin care of' Thelma Lou whilst Barney was out in the field protecting the citizens of Mayberry.

  9. What I remember most about that show is that Emmitt, the fix it shop guy, was always working on the same toaster...another episode featured a young Jack Nicholson who was lucky enough to have Aunt Bea sitting on his jury

  10. That toaster is supposed to be ready by Tuesday.

  11. There's an episode where James Best(the Shrieff in the Dukes of Hazzard) Gets to be a famous Country guitarist and comes back to Mayberry in a Mercedes S500 Roadster (a ******* Gullwing). Cool car.
Or the episode where Otis buys a pristine, stock 34 coupe.

  12. Ya gotta have small town gossip:rolleyes:

  13. Or the one with Barbera Eden as a "nail technition" In Floyd's Barber shop. Was she doing more than nails??

There was a color one with Aunt Bea learning to drive in a beautiful black 56 Ford ragtop.

Barney may have been the bumbling sidekick but you have to hand it to him, Thelma Lou was waaay hotter than Helen Krump!

I actually think he might have been plowing Gomer's beans.

Nicholson was in another episode where Opie found a baby, but the best Andy Griffith episode ever was "The Manicurist", where a young and VERY voluptuous Barbara Eden played the role of a manicurist who set up shop in Floyd's Barber Shop. That twitchy old Floyd would quiver like a dog ****tin' peach pits every time she moved. And so did I............

Seesko, you beat me to the Barbara Eden reference. She definitely left an great "impression"

  20. Mighty hot that lil Jeannie.
She bought her son a '69 428 Mach one back in the day. I'd read aboutsome guy seeing the car in the cl***ifieds and going to look at it and it was her. Quite a few years later. Still hot though and very nice.
