Event Coverage Pharohs? <sp> Of Modesto

Ran to town today with my 4 legged side kick, there was a small car show , large banner “Pharohs of Modesto”

I’m not the guy to carry his phone for a trip to town, yes I grew up with pay phones, but wondered if anyone here was a member, if the name was a spin off of AG, or a descendent?

Only OT car I could spot was a nice looking Mustang.

 

The club was founded in 1948, I think there is a spelling difference to the movie club?

According to the Pharoahs club president they are they same. The original club was founded in Modesto in 1948 by WWII vets and were featured in the American Graffiti movie. And it is spelt with an a in both cases.

 

I just glanced at the banner, it was a vertical banner placed on a pole. Can’t recall a 2nd A or not. Thanks though, would have stopped in but had one of the dogs with me.
