The last time the car has been out was Santa Maria last year. Since then it has spent most of the time back at Legendary Frank DeRosa and Son's Kustom Shop in Pittsburg, CA. Since I never really posted pictures of the great work they rushed out before that show, I will post some now.

    -Taillight treadment
    -Widened the rear fenders
    -Molded the running boards
-Molded the rear skirts & rounded all corners
-Front light treadment & molded the grille
-Stripped the car down to bare metal
    -Frenched the rear license plate

    More to come

    Brian

Well thank you. I have been debating on shaving the bumpers on my 40 Buick or keeping them stock. Your caddy made up my mind. They are coming off.

Here are a few more shots before Santa Maria 2010.

The pipes and the look I wanted for SM last year was a raw hot rod style. After that I was ready to transform it to my original kustom design.

    More pics to come...

Frank did some of his best work on this car. Looks awesome Brian. I hope to see it in Santa Maria again this year.

The last time I saw your car at the shop it was the little things that made a big statement. The peak above the headlights, the flow into the running boards, all the details of a show winning ride. So whats the color choice?

I really like the way you are doing this build. Alittle at a time, then drive it. Thats how it use to be back in the day. In between shows you worked on your cars, displaying your work and accomplishments at each show for the crowds to see, waiting to see whats been done next. Can't wait to see it this year in S.M.

The first time I saw the pics I said "Lose the header pipes and chop that sucker!"
    But that was my opinion....
    Great work!

Keep tuned this week to see.......

Exactly James! Details, details, details. All corners rounded. Fenders and side pieces welded. Molded grille. Headlights brought out 3/4". Freakin details.

I love driving them to break things now, not in final paint.. Also, thats how most of our budgets are.

Can I trust you with anything?

Here are some interior shots. I have pics somewhere of the frame made by Frank Jr.
I bought the T-Bird interior for this car. Frankie built the rear package tray by hand, splitting the rear seats and finishing with an ART DECO style center console. Killer work.

    YES!!!!!

I have not followed your car progress much since you mentioned it would have more of a Hot Rod theme than a Custom Car theme.... I'm so happy you decided to go Custom after all..... Very nice!

The DeRosa team knows what they are doing!

I dig the rear light. Don't know what it's for but it's unique and adds character.
