Guys, I'm building a 1/25th Scale Model of Phil Kaelin's Watson painted '32 5 Window Coupe. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki The information I'm missing to complete the build is which '56 Chrysler Engine did the coupe have sitting between the frame rails? Obviously it's a Hemi, but which one? And does anyone know what the rear of the car looks like. I have been able to source 9 photos total of the deuce oupe but none of them even remotely show the rear view of the coupe. Thanks for your help.
Holy snapping duck**** batman.........I have never seen that car before, please post the pics you have I would love to see them. Thats one ***y coupe!!!!
All 1956 Chrysler p***enger cars that were Hemi powered had 354ci versions. They are visually identical to all '51-55 331 Hemis. The '57-58 392 Hemi is a taller deck engine, which would make it slightly wider than a 331/354, but in scale it would be near-impossible to tell any difference. Keep in mind this is for Chrysler Hemis. DeSoto and Dodge also had Hemis of their own, which were different sizes (DeS - smaller, Dod - even smaller). Should be super-easy to round up a scale Chrysler Hemi. Might be tough to find one with wire covers though. The photos I've been able to come up with so far are either from Rik Hoving's Fotki collection: http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_..._cars/watson_custom_cars/phil-kaelins-1932-f/ Or from Kustomrama; http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?***le=Phil_Kaelin's_1932_Ford There are 9 photos total with 3 of them being duplicates between the 2 sites. You would think a Deuce Coupe that looks this cool that there would be loads of photos around. If heard that the car ended up in Louisville, KY, but it seems that beyond the few photos that it's dropped off the face of the earth. We'll keep bumping this to the top maybe some will have some other info. Thanks for your help so far.
One fine looking 5w. I wonder if I'll ever get mine in any kind of presentable shape. After 37 years..............I doubt it. Frank
Neato, gang. Can't help but notice the air cleaner under the car that seemingly has no business being there. Kinda odd..
Surely with the size of the HAMB someone has to have some more pics of this coupe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even a ref to a little book.......something!!!!!!!
Sorry, now I can see the grill shell in the other pictures, someone needs to build a real clone of it !
