McKee ... thanks for the sneak peek photos ... I've been eagerly waiting for pics of Webb's latest creation ever since flatheadpete teased its completion in his Like 1948 all over again... thread ... the month wait was well worth it ... the "Reincarnated Remington Mod" is simply incredible!

So will it be on display at the LARS?

Roadster show is June 18,19,20. Hopefully the two month window will be enough to allow you to see it!

I've been waiting a while for pics of this car completed. It's awesome, plain and simple. I've stolen so many ideas from this car... Dan has done very well.

    Magnificent in every way.

Pardon my ignorance, is this a complete recreation ..or are any parts of the original used? If so what bits?

No bits, when I spoke with Dan he told me that he consulted with Phil (whom remembered the details very well) along the way. Of course, Dan put his spin on it, much like the sub.

That is one beautiful car. I have the book with the original on the cover and it has been some of the inspiration for my roadster project and now this adds some new ideas.

Wonder if the kids would spring for a ticket to LA that weekend?

Well I just want to post again that the car won't be at the LARS but it will be in the NHRA museum along with the Golden Sub during the show. So if you want to see it you'll have to make a trip in the museum...

They look like maybe 7.00-16 Firestones with treads cut in them crossed over the stock ones. I like them too.

Will they be there ONLY during the show, or will they be on display for awhile?

Please excuse this question if it sounds dumb, but is this car a recreation of one built by the same Phil Remington that was THE MAN behind the Cobras? I was lucky enough to meet him several years ago and found him to be the real deal. Very quiet and understated but you could tell the man knows his stuff.
EDIT: Nevermind, I just went back and saw the photo of Mr Remington and found the answer myself. I never knew he was a hot rodder, but it really doesn't shock me, all the true greats are.

  26. Am I the only one that digs the white/blue later paint scheme better?

Dont get me wrong, this is AMAZING. I look at that car EVERY night on the cover next to my computer.

Very cool, congrats Ash and Dan for a job well done!
