So I bought a 54 chevy 210 from and old man. He said he didnt have the keys. Finally got in the trunk and the spare tire is a Phillip's 66 bias ply tire. Does anyone know if that was original to the car from the factory.

  2. I don't think any new cars came with Phillips 66 tires. They where Gas Station brand tires. And phillips66 tire 001.JPG phillips66 tire 002.JPG phillips66 tire 003.JPG I happen to have a prime example of a very old one that has good tread and still holding air.

Ok. The one that is in the trunk of the car I bought looks almost new. Holding air. If the Jack and tire has been out it has only been very very few times. I was amazed. It may not be the original but it's most definitely a Phillips 66 tire. Wonder when they stopped making them. I have been in the hospital but as soon as I am out I will post a picture
