Phoenix area upcoming swap meets of interest

Heck, Watson Lake up north of Prescott is the scene this weekend! Probably my favorite swap in the state.

 

I'm planning on blasting up to Watson lake in the Battle Bird on Saturday, no roof, so I might get wet at some point.

I reckon l'll be at the Glendale swap looking to peddle my '64 Dodge and a bunch of other goodies.

 

1st auto swap for 2014!

Glendale community college monthly auto swap is this Sunday morning.

 

Also this Sunday is the motorcycle swap at the Iron Horse Saloon at 19th ave and Bell. This is one of only two swaps for bikes in Az that brings out a healthy supply of other than Harley stuff. It starts about 9:00 am or so, so there is time to go to Glendale too.

 

Todd Hardings auto swap meet starts today with set up and the meet is Sat/Sun. I'll be sharing a space selling some parts and promoting events.
Also, like everyone else, looking for a good deal to buy as well.

Next Sunday is Glendale CC swap too.

I heard the Glendale swap earlier this month was exceptionally large. Now, I wonder what is in store for these coming up?

 

I will be in town for my bi annual visit to phoenix next weekend and am going to get to the Glendale CC for sure as I found some great buys last year, im getting in town on fri 31st so I was wondering what other cool events, cruises etc are worth hitting while im there

 

There were a lot of people there. I had my display set up on the entry row for my 3 drag meets in April and also bought some tires and an old magazine. Heading back today

 

WHA,WHA,What, people actually go outside in Phoenix,Az..Lord have mercy on their souls. I live inVegas, and am convinced that the only reason Phoenix was established was so People om Vegas can go outside in the summer and say "Look, how hot it is in Phoenix, someone hotter that we are. It's one hot sumbitch there. But a cool car scene there I must admit.Way to go guys.yruhot...........Doug

 

Subscribing for updates, I will need to attend one to try to locate the impossible to find rear bumper caps for my 57 Chieftain.

 

Big swapmeet at the fairgrounds this weekend. I plan on getting a space to try and peddle off some crazy old junk and my '64 Dodge 2 door hardtop.

Glendale the 15 and 16th I believe. I have been told that there is no Just Sell it swap out there this Sunday because of the big two day deal I mentioned. Anybody else heard the same?

 

Good Guys Swap and show this weekend. Westworld in Scottsdale for those who do not know. Planning on being there most of the weekend and then maybe hitting Central Sat night.

 

Isn't Glendale the first weekend of every month?

 

Yes, except March, as next weekend is the Spring Vintage Chevy Club deal both days.

 

Thursday went up there and bought a space, a nice corner one. Then Friday, all loaded up and headed there, my GTO ate an axle bearing on the 101 in Tempe. That cost me over 3 hours but, had her up and on the road again and made it there mid afternoon. Sold a pair of bucket seats right away. as usual, there are a lot of vendors there. Will be there all weekend promoting the Phoenix Drag Reunion April 6 and selling some parts ( I hope ). Stop and say 'hello'

What's the cost to get into the GoodGuys swap meet?

 

"cost to get into the meet"?
Not sure what spectator admission was . a swap space was $75 for the 3 days.

Still would like more info on the GCC meet this weekend. Is there a site or a link to it?

This weekend is the auto swap at the state fairgrounds, it runs today and tomorrow. There was quite a bit of people and parts there today. I am heading back tomorrow

 

Hey Bill, it was cool hangin out with you a bit this morning while scrounging for parts at the meet. Thanks for telling me about the vintage phoenix facebook page. For those who have yet to see it, there is a lot there to look at. Hope your Mopar goes together the way you want it to.

I spent the late morning and early afternoon on the fairgrounds. Sold a few pieces a friend of mine had at his space(B4, I believe) Saw couple of Pontiac's I thought were yours, Steve. Got to visit with some people I hadn't seen in years, but I didn't see you, Steve.

 

I had a small event display with flyers near the main ( south ) entrance next to the beer booth. It was the same place I was at in Jan. Lots of people showed interest and took flyers. I am running 3 separate events this weekend and they are, generally, targeted to 3 different crowds. The reason is to help to pay the bills to do it.
