I have the buckets and trim rings for my pickup. What else do I need to run regular bulbs. I know I need the gl*** lens (DUH), but the guts, what do I need and dooos any of yoos have anything layin' about?!

  2. You didn't say what make your truck is, I'm familiar with Fords and will answer your question with reference to a '37 Ford truck. The headlight reflector is the same for '35-'36 car and '35-'39 truck. '35-'39 trucks use the same lens and ring as '35 car. Make sure you get the little spring clips that hold the lens in the ring. You can also use the '36 car "bug eye" lenses if you use the '36 car trim rings with them. I've got '36 bug eyes on my '38 Ford pickup. Bob Drake sells a reflector that takes a common modern 12V halogen bulb that you can get at any parts store.

  8. '38-'39 Ford trucks use the same headlight bucket as '35-'36 Ford car. I think a pair of '36 bug eye lenses is the single best thing you can do to improve the looks of the front end on a '38-'39 truck. I think they look far better than the flatter lens that is correct for '35 car and '35-'39 truck. The rings are different, you have to use '36 car rings to use the bug eye lenses.
