C56 -- I'll play some more with Photochop when I get home from work.... ***uming my computer wants to load. Ed
Lose the red wheels-and sell the skirts and all the side trim on Ebay for cash......buy a set of 15" Chrome smoothies with 2-1/2"whitewalls and a dark purple paint job,a bar grill and one peice smooth taillite lenses......
hey man, i remember the first time you posted this car and wanted to just go mild with original low-key colors. this is what i did then changing your mind?? thats not allowed! haha, just kidding
Until I make up my mind and it fits in the budget However, the original question of this post was what would you do to a stock version of mine in stock paint...If I decide to go that route...
No need to photo shop it to get my 2 cents. Already a lot of good ideas. I've always thought that a mild custom more door ought to have the rear doors suicided. Relativly simple mod. on a shaved ride it isn't real obvious until you open the back. Then its a splap me silly what in the hell is that, mod. Also makes it easier to get into the back seat.
Here's my idea 1. Put in a request for a HAMB chop 2. Drop it as low as you can stand 3. Shave the handles 4. Powdercoat the wheels black rather than red, and put some wide, wide whites on it. 5. Throw a fresh coat of primer on and some really bad ***'d chalky white seaweed flames That would make for one evil looking car.

Leave the handles and skinny whites, add in the missing window chrome... maybe in a baby blue seaweed flames (trying to tie into the interior color or would this even be important?) ps: this pic was before I got the car...</font> This is the only pic I could find on the net with a similar paint job...not a good view though...Nice Bike!
I worked this one up in a few hours (still trying to teach myself PhotoShop)all in flat paint... Let me know what ya think... I think smoothies would look good too...
Sorry I got that from my mother. I can usually keep up with women talking too, especially my wife .....
I've finally figured out WHY you like that restored '56 Chev pic...every one one of the photoshopped paint jobs you've done, or others have done for you (other than the one by Monster) are all DARK colors...including this last one you did...the restored '56 has light colors on teh body...that allows the car to "open" up instead of being all closed up and made to look smaller...dark colors will do that...for any car. Just my 13 cents... R-
I don't know if that's 100% right. I think so far my favorite is the last one I did. I do also like restored cars though, however my last 4 door 56 was suppose to be Laurel Green and Crocus Yellow, which only on certain cars looks right (not the 4 door sedan)... I'm looking for a soft yet strong color combo that I can do myself, and I know I can't do body work very well.... but rattle cans I can do i think
Forget the stock two tone, IMO. You spent all that time to mud the sides. Are the holes still there? It doesn't look like it in the pic. 95% of all the Tri-Five chevys have the stock side trim. Be different.

Where the trim was, it pitted the steel, I don't know how to fix that, but plan on stripping the car down little by little. I guess I'd use bondo or a glaze to fill in the pits.
Oh, and apologies to Mai Ki-ki for swiping his work for my flames. There was nothing else I wanted to change though. Perfect. Yep, that would be Krylon Satin Blue. Spray away. THe holes are still there huh? Well that's a little different I suppose. It sure would look *****in if they were filled.
Hey D-Jo! After the coolness of the HAMB calender hanging on my wall here. your welcome !!! Cheers MAIKI
Thanks ya'll.. I have a new cruizer to strive for now How do you shave the handles, patch the holes and stuff. What about rear suicides? Now to add my powerpak and then tripple dueces with an aluminum PG
ok, so you want something dark but bold? how about lime-ish green flaked scallops on flat black with a green flake roof?
