My '57 Effie project's getting so close to the paint shop, thought I'd offer up a Before pic for your photo shop'ing pleasure. This was how I bought 'er in '01, that's the previous owner's driveway. I'm wondering what it'll look like in dark Burgundy with chrome reverse wheels and a Model A-style visor. Can't decide about the visor, but am really tempted. Also, what ideas do you have? OGNC, thanks again for that web link on that radical '57, I keep going back to it.
Remember the last time the "V" word was spoken around here? hatch & the photoshoppers are probably gonna make this thing look like a baseball cap now.
Hey Freind, I finally dug your loud pedal part out today. Funny thing after I looked all the places that it wasn't it was in the first place I was going to look and didn't figure it would be there. I'll ship tomorrow. The PknBner Oh btw the A visor would be a different twist.
Thanks, man! How timely, since I'm tuning it back into daily driving. Thanks so much. I'll send some goodies right back to you. Baseball cap, eh?... Yer tempting a baseball fan even more... y'know I've never looked at it that way, but now... I can't decide. Oddly enough, figure the "A" style would look better on that truck than the style made for trucks from the '40s and '50s. "IMHO", as they say. Am also planning on chrome nerf bars where the front bumper was (anyone need a stock '57-'60 bumper?) to compliment the curvature of the rolling pan, but don't know if the nerf bars AND the visor would go together. How 'bout you?
I really like the whitewalls bumpstick added - they really look great with the maroon paint and chrome wheels. Hope you'll give them a go humboldt. I just cleaned up the hood a bit.
Thanks, guys, nice job! I'm in a Digital Media class learning all this Photo Shop stuff with Power Point, can't wait to get better at the photo choppin' stuff. Really dig the WWW tires idea, though I'm trying to keep the ride Graffiti-era style, hadn't considered wide whites, wasn't sure how they'd "go" on the truck. I bought this truck intending it as a gutsy hot rod, and it's evolving into a custom (with guts). Thanks for the visual, guys!
BTW, I'm planning on having those headlight 'brows' (the rims connected to the fenders framing the top o' the headlights) painted the same color, while keeping the bottom half chrome. Though in most cases I've found both halves chromed, on other trucks.
