This is a recent shot, taken on I-70 on the way home from the Goodguys show in Columbus... The car was actually pretty filthy here, as we had just driven out of about an hour's worth of rain. (Note the road is still wet!) Driving in the rain usually bums me out, but I had such a great weekend with my friends and fellow HAMB'ers during the weekend, even a little rain couldn't wipe the smile off my face!

I, for one, am glad you showed pics of his burnout and not his bun out :D<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

I can't believe this hasn't got a bunch of comments! I for one love 57 fords. This car is a more door and looks just as cool as any two door. I love the "NO" on the wall too! GREAT PIC and a sweet kustom! This ride makes me wanna go cruisin...

Sean, can you send me more pics or can I steal this one?

im enjoying the photography and also, enjoying the fact that as this thread goes on it seems people are following the original rules less and less.

so my rant goes as such:
this is suppose to be a photography contest, yet it seems like people are starting to just send in any photo of their car, no matter if it is well composed or just a snapshot. i dont want to complain about seeing everyones cars but if i was c9 id find it a bit annoying since hes nice enough to have this contest in the first place and then gets a bunch of people that dont follow the rules. also - its suppose to be ONE photo... not a series of photos of a burn out, or different pictures of the same car, or multiple cars owned by the same hamb member, or one photographer showing multiple pictures of hamb owned cars.

    it's not that hard people!

some of these photos are excellent though :)

I could'nt agree with you more. But some of us are dumb asses (like me) and never read
instructions. Next time I'll try play by the rules.

I was going to say this back at page 5 , but I didn't want to be that guy, but I do agree, it's getting out of hand. One of the other rules was pics of the ENTIRE car. While I love the artsy close-ups, if you want to post those pics, start your own thread.

this is like the HAMB calendar submissions...

10 people read the rules and submit pictures that could be considered...

100 post whatever pic they have of their own car just to see what happens...

  12. its all about fun...

my friend needed something and somewhere to shoot for a a job, and since my POS runs its the subject.
he was setting up , I saw the lettering on this building and grabbed his camera, he about crapped his pants when he saw me running around with his very expensive equipment.
I got off one pic. before he took his camera away, this was it.

like i said, im really enjoying ALL the photos, don't want to be a jerk. who doesnt want to see car photos?

i just wanna make sure that C9 gets some respect for being generous enough to have a contest giving out some autographed books.

maybe some people dont even read enough to know that there is a prize for this contest to begin with.. either way, the rules are pretty straight forward and simple.

THEME - YOUR CAR IN AN INTERESTING PLACE.
    HAMB owned cars only.
Prize goes to the owner of the car.
    ONE photo only.
photo MUST be resized to fit in the thread - no thumbnails, no oversized.
photo should show the entire car - no artsy close-ups.
ALSO - you're suppose to post some text with your photo, talking about your car, location, how you composed it, etc.

obviously C9 being the judge will pick who he picks, i have not submitted a photo for the contest as i have none, so im not bitching to win.. but just trying to help out and call attention to those points for those who failed to read.

-done ranting & looking forward to seeing more correctly submitted photos!

Maybe I'll have to go back, chop down the pole and take another picture.

  22. ...and resizing an oversized photo to make it fit destroys the reslolution, that's why some of us use thumbnails exclusively, otherwise, we wouldn't post any photos at all.

This was my 1948 Plymouth Special DeLuxe (sold it the other week) at Hot Rod Reunion 2007 in Sweden. A bright northen sky at 03.00 AM makes a nice background. The picture was taken by Dez, a friend of mine.

This one is mine. First day on the road, nevermind the wheels & tires. Used for rollers. :)

Better you than me picking just two out of these.
Man there are some stunning photographs here. Never ceases to amaze me the talent in this place, post a thread on even the most obscure hot rod related theme and you will, without fail have a thread the quality of this one.
    Doc.

Just makes me realise how untalented I am..............
