I took this picture at Eldorado Dry Lake the same day C9 was there just at different times. Whos knows maybe it was at the same time we just didnt see each other....and yes he is right the dry lake was terrible to do any high speed runs.

"'66 Chrysler 300. Lost Hills, CA. Stopped on the way to Paso back in '05 becuase it's so desolate and spooky with all those derricks pumping away without a single person or building in sight." -stolen from Tinman himself pg3...

I took the picture just down the road at a dairy farm. The bright yellow pickup is in direct contrast to the dull old buildings in the background.
Pickup is powered by a bored & stroked 52 Merc flatty

    Ford 9 inch/4 bar
    Mustang 2 front end

well here are two from me, i know it says 1 pic but its 1 pic of each of my cars :) the photos have not been touched, only resized down as the originals are 4 times the size of the pics posted. the roadster was meant to be a little fuzzy to give it a sense of age, dont know if it works or not.

this was taken on St Andrews beach in Scotland, about 12 miles from me..

That was one I was considering but I have a bunch no one has seen.
I'll have to dig into my archives and choose one that I like.
See... if only you would have waited till 10:30 for me at the bbq, we could have a some good shots. :p

Wow, C9, you better have about 100 of those books:eek:

This is the best thread ever since I've been here.

Or you could make a new book with all this art here.

  23. Here is my '32 in LB (near the harbor). I snapped this shot with the Queen Mary off in the distance and captured what became one of my favorite pics of my roadster.
I think that's because it brings back memories of cruising PCH.
Sure beats the humid, bug filled Nebraska summertime air!

  24. Wish I did.

Only two prizes going out though.

A reminder, those of you who've posted the HAMB sized thumbnails need to set up the photo on PhotoBucket or similar so it opens at a reasonable size as your post comes up.

Jeez, the choices are getting tough already....

How difficult is it to actually read the guidlines that C9 put out?

From his first post on this thread (and I quote) :

"One more example and this one falls into the not acceptable category.
A bit of a bummer in a way since it’s my all-time favorite photo of the 32 running the countryside, but it doesn’t make the cut since the whole car is not shown."

THE WHOLE CAR HAS TO BE SHOWING. As much as I like em, the artsy-fartsy close ups don't fit the bill.

BTW : So Far... My vote goes for the wagon. Perfect contrast.
