This show is being put on by five guys that put a show on here fifty years ago and there at least two of the original cars from the first show. Pretty cool. I'm gonna throw a bunch of pictures up and come back and give more text info later, but let's start with some pictures....I have over 60, not sure how many I'll post...probably all..enjoy! First pic. is a 1931 Auburn Boattail speedster Second third and forth is Tim Thomson's display, we built the chassis under the coupe... Couple shots of our traveling frame jig the gmgrunt and kustombuilder built for us. And finally the 125 c roadster owned by Geoff Skene
.... 31 Auburn again, what a fricking beautiful car.. Bob Kruger's unrestored ol race car, owned by Ken Lenert..
...I think there is a double in here...I'll fix that later. Jeff Higel's 36 Ashley Webbs roadster and her dad's 3 winder
This is it for a bit, but up next are two cars that were at the original show. More of Ash's roadster
round two... couple more of ashley's car and one of her dad's coupe Bill Hines built, Larry Jordan restored "Golden Nugget" built originally for Marty Rivets in 1954 (?) And Ollie Hines built 33 ford with brewstir grill and 39 Chevy Frt. fenders frt. and back. These two cars are stunning in person.
Well there you have 37 of the pictures I took today, I have more but can't seem to post them right now...I may need to clear some old stuff out, I don't know... Any way, I'm taking a break from the computer and will update with more info on the cars pictured later. For now enjoy the pic's and have a good weekend. Matt
It's at the Lansing Center, opens at 10 am tomarrow and Sunday....Closes at 10pm tomarrow and 5pm on Sunday. It's only eight bucks to get in.... Everybody that is anywhere near this show should be here this weekend, the level of cars is impressive!
That little black roadster and 3w look SWEET! I have seen a few pics of the roadster before, nice to see it again.
Thanks Matt!!! Can't wait to see more pics and read your comments. What a great show! Heard about the bike in Tim's display but hadn't seen it yet. Good thing I brought the "reject" banner - on the way home I was wondering whether it needed to be double-faced. Did you know ahead of time if it was a main floor or wall space? Guess I shoulda asked. You guys did good hangin' it, though. Larry
Yeah Larry, I have been really impressed with the show turnout. I have more photo's but can't seem to post them right now, Ryan and I are working on it. The display turned out great for never puttinbg it together before the show! And we had know clue where we were going to be so the extra banner helped a ton!!! I'm going back in a couple hours to try and sell some shirts! Take Care, Matt
Thanks for getting the site address out Jeff. This should be a blast to do again. Just need to get the attendance up.
bumped into Ray tonight. He said all the car spots are filled for the show, still needs a few vendors.
