Wow you've been holding on to those for awhile now. Thanks for sharing. I would still be a fan of dragracing if the cars still looked like cars.

Wow, what zoomie fun to see!! Pomona still is a great strip to watch drag racing. A few years back I picked up a copy of a c***ette off eBay ***led "Sounds From The: NHRA 1962 Winternationals. Hope people have been reading last couple of issues of Hot Rod Magazine with articles on Don Prudhomme. Thanks for pics!!

 

The plane was piloted by Art Scholl, a famous stunt pilot. He did an exhibition over the track that day. He died in a crash while fiming scenes for the movie Top Gun in 1985.
