This weekend was the 41st I think Vintiques Northwest Nationals in Yakima, Wa. Here are the photos I took of some of the cars I found interesting. Great sounding pickup. Had a real nice rumble to the pipes rather than loud. The event was like the Hemi Nationals with the number of Hemi engines around. Straight and black Red wheels looked right on this one. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w71/mr48chev/Vin tiques%20NW%20nats%202010/033.jpg
Yes, this is one of my favorites Nice Model A Victoria that screams for a wheel and tire change. Chris Albrecht's 32. All steel as far as I know and he has owned it forever.
This Ranchero was just finished after being an eight year build by a friend of mine I hadn't seen for several years. They may have been caught in the rain storm we had a few minutes before. The driver was having a ball but I'm not sure about the passenger. 38K and you can drive it home, Hemi and all. Yep a late model but it has a story. This belongs to Phil Raspberry, one of my early students when I started teaching Auto mechanics who has had it since the late 70's. It was painted by another former student. Outside of the color and wheels this 69 was set up very close to the 69 I special ordered in 1968. 350R 4 speed and bench seat.
Had V8 emblems too. Clean little wagon. Street rod for sure with Corvette running gear but done right.
Great Pics Mr48chev ! The red T-bucket with the eagle head flames won the 1925-1936 "Best of the Decade" Award
Been to Vintiques quite a few years now and allways have a blast. So many things to do, from the poker run through wine country to the car games where you can run your car hard. The cruzin at night and the bands playing on stage til midnight, camp right there inside the fairgrounds with your old egg trailers or tent and party all night. I'll be back and thanks for posting the pics. I didnt get any, too busy drinkin.
