Thank you for taking the time to post these up Kirk! Never got a chance to say hey this year, but as always - I look forward to seeing your shots - Seems like one can't see 'em all, and this year was harder than ever. Tim :)

Have you ever heard the expression; "It's not the tools, it's the mechanic"?

Kirk gets shots like this because he's a talented artist.

He could get the same photos with a cheap $50 point & shoot.

It ain't the camera, it's the photographer.

I drove that car down to the show from Se**** and back and I can say ,I've never driven a straight axle car that was as stable and smooth. It has absolutely no bump steer because the drag link swings the same arc as the radius rod, and the linkage from the pitman to the bellcrank doesn't effect it either. my wife can palm the wheel on a turn and it doesn't dart at 70. It works great, but your right it does look wierd.

Bwas, good to see you back up the comments on your steering, I was about to do it myself. It's always best coming from the man who drives it. See you at WallMart on Tuesday if not sooner.

Unfortunately the one shown above is a KitCar that was built recently in the northwest. When you look close, there are a lot of details not quite correct. But it was good to see as it caused me flashbacks to Ford at LeMans/Daytona and their kicking Ferrari's keister. The sound of the 482ci Ford in it though was great!

Kirk, thanx for another super shoot. What a great bunch of super cars. Two six shooter with 5 carb set ups, crazy cool! Black 57? Caddy convert w/ red interior-yikes. No shortage of Ford Ranch Wagons as well, the black 57 is mind boggling. Love the roller coaster and amuzement park atmosphere, you are #1 bro. ~Sololobo~

I started copying and pasting pics of cars into a post but it turned into a GIANT post, there are way too many cool cars up there! But this one really stands out, I heart it big time!

    Thanks for the pics KIRK!

Great pics! Some of the best event coverage I've ever seen. Seriously...
I really like the shots of small details, trim, emblems, wheels, linkages, those turned out sooooooo nice. Thanks for thinking of those of us who couldn't make it 2500 miles West:eek:. I don't think I've ever seen full chromed artillery wheels before, kinda weird lookin. Too many fav's to mention:eek:.

Kirk, outstanding. I would really love to know if you shoot on automatic or have adjustments in your shots. they are so bright.. Having shot this show for a number of years, I know you are doing something right. I know you have a large flash but do not think you were using it..

I hate you for being able to drive that woodie home...

I totally agree. What a beautiful car.

  30. Great photos from the show, looks like I missed seeing a ton of great cars on Saturday. I did however manage to take a photo of your favorite dumpster on Sunday. I'm glad to see you made it home safe in your rental car/wagon. :D
