My car became my home. It was a two-seater, with a special extra-large luggage compartment. I kept everything in there, an extra camera, cases of flash bulbs, extra-loaded holders, a typewriter, firemen's boots, boxes of cigars, salami, infra-red films for shooting in the dark, uniforms, disguises, a change of underwear, and extra shoes and socks. I was no longer tied to the teletype machine at police headquarters. I had my wings. I no longer had to wait for crime to come to me; I could go after it. The police radio was my life line. My camera... my life and my love... was my Aladdin's lamp.

    Arthur "Weegee" Fellig

In 1938, he was actually the only New York newspaper reporter with a permit to have a portable police-band shortwave radio.

Nov. 11 — The Armistice Day Blizzard killed 49 people in Minnesota after temperatures suddenly plunge from the 60s to zero, winds gust to 32 mph and 16.8 inches of snow fall in 24 hours.

I'll go with Whippet. Always tough to distinguish between them and Chryslers with very similar rad shells. I don't recall seeing a Chrysler with disc wheels though, and I think the vacuum tanks were on the other side, at least on the small Chryslers.

    Keep the wrecks coming!

I think it's a '26 Chrysler. The resemblence to this one is too strong (note the front bumper and badge on the radiator shell).

The disc wheels could be an accessory. They had a period of vogue in the 1920s. We've certainly seen a few (presumably poorer) owners of 1920s Fords whose cars were so equipped.

Looks like Dodge- big hubs, split ring, wide/flat radiator shell- maybe '26?

You may be correct, but the bumper on the green car has a single joining piece in the middle, while the b&w has joints towards the frame rails. The ends on the b&w wrap around behind, while the Chrysler ends terminate with a bolt.
The headlights also look different. Flat back drums on the b&w but bullet backs on the Chrysler. That said, I have seen Chryslers with flat back drums.
Tough to tell from the wreck, but I don't see the bead on the fender that the Chrysler has.
The Chrysler photos I've found in a quick search also seem to have a bead or belt that runs the length of the body that I don't see on the cowl of the b&w.
Agreed, the disc wheels could have been an aftermarket accessory.

I could still be wrong on this. Always fun to look at these in more detail.

That be a Nash my friends....1923 or 1924. The D.C. plates are dated 1925. 1925 and newer Nash's had ribbed front fenders.

I like it. I should have thought of Nash with the discs. I was starting to look at early '20's Overlands. Thanks

Mr. Model "T"; You are one sharp cookie for your age. Thanks for the Nash I.D. I didn't think of that one either. Oh by the way, I love your Model "T". I still have the '27 Roadster my late father built from nothing but it looks stock on the outside. Lots of internal mechanical modifications.
