Not sure but wherever I found it a few weeks ago gave me the impression it might be in DC or Baltimore.

this building still exists in Livermore Ca. and has been repainted just like you see in the picture with all the lettering.

The hot spell has passed, so it's ok to toss your young'uns up on the hood again. Bundle 'em up if it's real cool. Even dads can crawl up there, like this guy who thinks he looks better than the eagle on that '32 Chev.

Incredible NYPL photo dating to 1883, showing craftsmen working sheets of copper into the Statue of Liberty. Not exactly related to motorized fun we all like, but given the number of talented tin knockers on the HAMB, I thought this would be too good not to share with those folks (and everyone else!).

Back to cars: hard to say what this is, but a great shot especially with man's best friend inside the spares.

Twin, I'm with you -- not ONLY on how keen this photo is but on including pre-WWII pix that help to provide the socio-economic backdrop for the automotive pix!

Just a wonderful pic -- and, I'm sure, usually locked away out of sight, so to speak. It is GREAT that the HAMB is not a narrow-minded forum but one that appreciates RELEVANT pix and factual material (so damn long as guys & gals show relevance to the roots of the cool cars we all love, right?).

I do have a question -- and not a smartass one, either. Maybe somebody in HAMBland has an opinion.

Since the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the U.S., these guys were probably doing "finish" work to join up all the seams in the parts shipped over from France, do you think?
