Time to reveal the answers to last week's quiz.

    1914 Overland 79R roadster
1914 Fisher--the caption says Tudhope, but the script is clear. Fisher was briefly built in the Tudhope factory in Orillia, Ontario.
1908-1911 Russell--I'm not certain of the year, but pretty confident this is a Toronto-built Russell, possibly Knight-engined.

Thanks to MrModelT for the one and only response! Perhaps I went too obscure with these....

'40s. I'm still not clear how they got it past old Henry.

Not finding any fault here, as I enjoy the thread the way it is. I do realize that the MAKE of cars/trucks is sometime just UNKNOWN or impossible to ID. But speaking for myself, I'd love to know makes (and at least approximate year) whenever the poster has that info. Keep up the good work, gang!

Yup! Back to you for the next teaser, MrModelT.

And I agree with Jimi--captions on the pics whenever possible is certainly appreciated, or a statement asking for ID.

    Livermore, California Circa 1920's

When this Garage was built in 1915 the old Lincoln Highway ran along the north side. This became Highway 50, the first trans-continental U.S. highway. Highway 50 was later rerouted and this section was renamed Portola Ave. The garage sold gas and Associated Oil Products and also performed repairs.

In 1923 the Pine Street half of the garage was added and the garage began selling Durant, Flint, and Star Automobiles. Robert Livermore Jr. was one of the salesmen in the early 1920s.

In the early 1940s the garage was converted into a machine shop for rebuilding machinery, particularly farming and winery equipment.

Thanks, Cannuck & MrModelT. Shoot, I wish it had occurred to my thick head to say something sooner -- but DUH. Now we're 3.5-grand posts into a GREAT, enjoyable thread. Now I'm looking at all the thousands of car pix and thinking, "Wouldn't this have been a wonderful SEARCHABLE resource for anyone wondering what a certain make looked like, at least for a particular year?" Oh, well, they always say hindsight is 20-20. And it IS searchable to the extent that some percentage of makes were, indeed, ID'd by posters. Still, one of the best threads on the HAMB!!!

All right Boys n' Girls!...It's time to play "Guess That Car"!

This week I have 5...that's right, 5 "mystery rides" for you to identify and I want to see if you out there in "H.A.M.B.land" can get them right!

Now..this is a game, so I want everybody to play....not a whole lot of fun when only one guy plays..right?

..But seriously folks... send me your guesses, try your luck and win a prize!...well.. not a prize, but the "chance of a lifetime" to do the next quiz!!!

PM me your answers and I will announce the winner next week!

..Here are your "Mystery Ride" for this week:

The only one I've known yet was the 1913 Ford-Edison electric prototype. But I do know I'm in love with this one:
