Long weekend coming up, and someone we know has to drive a Mercer. If I had a time machine, I'd punch it in reverse so I could wind up in George Bentel's garage to check these out. Wow.

I would consider this 1935 Chevy more of a forerunner to the SUV then the 1933 Ford above. I would consider the Ford more of a Delivery type vehicle for the traveling salesman.

I think this might be in the Catskills, but have no idea what the car is. Any takers?

Nice pix, South paw. I think the movers look better this way. The kids look like they are in that blanket chest, but I think they are simply behind the car. Is that a '34 Chev?

I'm more inclined to say 1911 model 47 which also had planetary, but flat rear fenders like this. Lovely shots.

    ---------------------
And what it this??? The thing with the
squeeze bulb appears to go to a brass
horn, mounted just behind the front
fender, just below and behind the the
cowl lamp - but just before the horn,
the piping also appears to branch off
into a vertical riser going to two kind
    of 'flute-like' pipes mounted slightly
above the level of the steering wheel.
A two (or three!) tone horn maybe?
Some sort of bizarre 'musical device'
    for entertaining passengers, pedestrians
    and/or other motorists?? An optical
    illusion?? Inquiring minds *need* to
    know!

If I understand your question that is the windsheild with the top half folded down, the vertical piece is a brace.[IMG]

Actor Carlyle Blackwell, in a still from an unknown movie. The car is a killer chain drive beast which I hope someone can ID for us.
