    Thanks Twin-6--I've been a bit quiet lately. I would say yes--all Overlands. 1912, a bunch of 1914's, and I would guess a '15/'16.

This 1914 has a bumper that looks very much like the one on mine. I have considered taking it off, but it has been there so long, it seems a shame.

Premier had that Franklin-like front, but the rest doesn't seem to match up. I'm curious about this one. The canoe makes a great picture.

I've seen other period buses with the same hood logo, NO GERMAN CONNECTION, and have wondered about it. [IMG]

Nice F.A.L. made in Chicago. T-Head and I found several photos of this a while ago, and he beat me to the punch posting these on the racing thread. So here it is for those who didn't see it before.

Some clarification on the swastika on the truck from early 1900s in NYC.

"Until the Nazis used this symbol, the swastika was used by many cultures throughout the past 3,000 years to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck.

Even in the early twentieth century, the swastika was still a symbol with positive connotations. For instance, the swastika was a common decoration that often adorned cigarette cases, postcards, coins, and buildings. During World War I, the swastika could even be found on the shoulder patches of the American 45th Division and on the Finnish air force until after World War II."

I can remember the old house I lived in as a child had swastikas in the tile design in the Bathroom. House was built in the early 1900s I would guess.

Don't be sorry - great photo, AND filename (did you miss that?). This thread has had photos of cars, kids and guns, but none that I can recall where they were all there at once.

Was curious to see who else would notice....should have guessed :D

...Gotta say, that Franklin with the machine gun looks a bit ridiculous.
