At first I thought it might have been a presidential vehicle (see that "1" on the front?), but I think it's too early to be Bushes...

Pierce Arrow showroom, location unknown (possibly St. Louis?). Photo from Missouri History Museum.

German anti aircraft rigs, WW1. The crew at left is using a Goertz rangefinder.

Once more the torch and throne of "Quizmaster" has been passed to me. As I plan my new quiz for this coming week, I will try to plan a create a simpler quiz as Twin-6 did last week in order to increase contributions.....don't want to earn the reputation as the "Hard Ass Quizmaster" with the impossibly difficult quizzes :D

I will begin my planning and have a quiz ready for you all within the next few days or so

Mystery cars are everywhere, MrModelT. I wish I could read the radiator script on this one but can't make it out. Cute 4 passenger roadster, whatever the make. After a long weekend, I am feeling a bit like putting a foot up like this guy.

  26. Twin6: When zooming up in Photoshop the script on the grille looks similar to 1911-1913 Studebaker script?!?!? Perhaps he put later-model script on an earlier model car. Perhaps it's a Locomobile....

Very true....just a bit hard sometimes to find a good "Mystery Car" that I can confirm it's identity...AND that everyone feels confident about guessing...that is the tricky part :D

Good one Twin-6 and good guesses Weaverville.

This car is however, neither Locomobile or Studebaker as the lettering is no correct....though Locomobile was in the right direction as the "Mystery Marquee" does start with an "L". The "X" (3rd letter in from the left) and the "T" (3rd letter in from the right) means that this is a Lexington (produced from 1910 to 1927 in Lexington, Kentucky) from either 1910 or 1911.

Looks like it could be Harisonian Climbing Roses an early Rose Festival entry

They moved from Lexington after a few months of production but I don't think it's one of those either. The script appears to start with either an L or S and there are 2 or 3 'whale tail' shaped pieces projecting up, there appears to be 2 rows of lettering on the radiator tank too.

This may be a Cunningham from around 1919. [IMG]
