    Mart, that's a GOOD one! Looks like a beast to steer. And I
    remember reading recently, they discontinued it because when
    you'd go over a high point in the road, the middle wheels DID lift
    the front wheels high enough that you'd lose control -- at least
    enough to make you catch your breath!

    Hey, 49! Looks about as stripped as one of those early "gow jobs"
    could get! I hope he's installing his cut-down radiator. Nyuk, nyuk!

    An interesting chain drive propane delivery truck in California from 1938. The second photo shows possibly a regulator on the firewall and the propane carburetor.

    Model 2-48 Packard (1913) converted to a great service rig. Is this Alexandria, VA?

    Update: T-Head says Los Angeles.

    Courtesy of Duesenberg Historian Chris Summers;

    That's a new picture and article to me. J-198 / 2221 was originally a Murphy Disappearing Top Torpedo Convertible Coupe, but in the mid-1930s was restyled to how it's seen in the picture by George Thurmond's body shop in Los Angeles.

    In the 1980s Rick Carroll had the car restored back to its original form (see attached photo, taken by Robert Armstrong at the Meadowbrook Concours when car was owned by Bill Chorkey).

    You might have seen pictures of a J crashed into a tree on a movie set. That's this car. It did not lead a pleasant early life, as you can tell.

    If you send me a PM, I'll send you the photos Chris sent.

    Here they are again, with Jesse Vincent's 6-26 speedster. This was obviously before photoshop.
