This sure looks like a Pierce Arrow, but I'm not sure of the year.

You are correct, the only known Fox was in the Bill Harrah collection, it was sold in the September 29-30 1984 auction, present location is unknown to me. :)

We'll all wonder what the photographer said to the owner just before taking this photo. [IMG]

  9. This could be an example of the first six cylinder Pierce Great Arrow of 1907 - wheelbase was 135". It looks long enough.
    I guess this one - http://www.1motormart.com/gallery/07pa01.jpg - is a four cylinder car.

The Buggati guys can chime in on this one and give you the S/N etc. (I've got all that, and more pix of the car, but not where I am right now). The car still exists, rebodied, and as a surviving Royale is very well known. The body in this shot is a first series Packard 8, seven passenger touring.

37Kid, scratching around on the net, I think the SOLE
    surviving Fox air-cooled is a Derham-bodied 4DS now
owned by one Tom Kidd of Old Zionsville, PA, a suburb
of Macungie, PA, where he's said to show the car one
or so each year. I also found a pic, but it's color and
NOT thread-friendly, so I'm going to show it over on
the "extinction" thread, which it fit into the theme of
    extinction and ULTRA-rarity.

But here's an interesting Fox ad from American-
    Automobiles.com:
