  5. 1929 Chrysler - it does not look to be very big so is probably the smaller Model 65 (112"wb). The wire wheels and side mounts were optional.

I am always amazed at what turns up on here, This snap may have been used to illustrate a windmill on the original site but the car just blew me away, it is a 1925 Austin Seven Sports Two Seater and is only the second photograph known of this now extinct car. For an Austin Seven nut like me this is an extraordinary 'find'. Thanks Mr.Fire for posting it.

Wow, what a treat when a GOOD photo of an EXTINCT car is unearthed and ID'd after all those years! Can we know MORE about why this sharp car disappeared?

Lots of great PRE-WWII stuff here in the last few days, all! :D We do need to double-check #s 7441, 7442 and 7446, though. Sure don't look PRE-WWII.

And, LGS, you never cease to amaze me. You and MrModelT are informational treasures. :) You guys must judge car shows in the warm months! LOL

Just a great photo showing traditional values: Fred making an honest living
for his family, using his wits and back, with a bit of an assist from modern
automotive tech! 1915 pic THANKS to American-Automobiles. If this is a
repost, somebody just PM me & I'll delete -- sometimes I just lose track,
what with so many pix on this thread!

Check out this 1914 oddball. Going out of business in 1915, Wagenals had built
three-wheeled, light gas and electric vehicles, specifically for inner-city personal
transport and business uses. Ad THANKS to American-Automobiles.

Update:- Having only started in 1923, in racing terms the Austin Seven was already very successful winning over 50 events and awards in tourer and racing trim, To capitalise on this in 1924 the Austin Seven Sports 50 mph. was produced. I apologise but I don't have any period photos of this car, but the car shown is possibly on of only a couple of original cars remaining, the hood, hood-frame and top half of the windscreen was removable for racing. The car was tuned to achieve the dizzy heights of 50 mph.
It was produced for 1924 and the survivng cars seem to come from this year and could cost you as much as £170. Longbridge then went and produced the Sports Two Seater (apparently without the 50 mph. guarantee) which looked vey similar but with a shorter tail cone available and standard wings instead of the flared ones on the earlier car. By this time though. coachbuilders such as Burghley and Gordon England were making 'sporty' looking Sevens and I guess the Longbridge model was quietly dropped.

Whilst I do not doubt it is a rare Sports 2-seater what I find interesting is the nickel plated radiator cowl. I always understood that they were black painted. Has this particular car been customised ...........or could it be a coachbuilt bespoke model looking like the Sports??
It may be possible to date the car from its Manchester registration plate.

That would be your daddies no? I've never seen a passenger body like these before . looks like a 36 Plymouth closet and a variety beyond. Were these 'Sampans' peculiar to Hawaii?
