Buster Keaton and his 1928 Austin

I don't think it is a 1928 since American Austins like this didn't come out til 1930.

No, that 1939 Pontiac isn’t a trick, an optical illusion. It’s genuinely see-through, one of two that GM built for the 1939 and 1940 World’s Fairs.

Posted elsewhere on the HAMB, a great shot of a Crocker in Hawaii, 1936.

Traction engines at work in New York. In my opinion, the American ones are nowhere near as refined or handsome as the ones made in England, but they are all impressive and fun to see at work.

Lindbergh in a Packard model 336 phaeton, probably just before a parade.

I've never seen so many Packards in a photo that wasn't a factory job. These are all waiting for the Lindbergh parade in LA, 1927.

No steam in a while, so here's today's dose. None other than William F. ("Buffalo Bill") Cody at right, next to a 1913 Stanley mountain wagon, in Cody, WY. I am told the front passenger seat visited via his own rail car to go game hunting but died the day after this picture was taken. LOC photo.
